ROOM FOR GROWTH

BY JESSICA BARNETT

God's provision is so good, y'all.

The growth that Building Bridges LRC has experienced is nothing short of a miracle. We are absolutely humbled by this opportunity every day. From Kenny and a couple dozen watermelons to erecting our new donation center in a few years time is just incredible. So this is a little story about the impact of donations (not just the monetary kind), and our excitement about nearing completion on the donation center!

The current rooms are overflowing with items that could certainly benefit our friends, but we need to be able to sort and organize them before we can hand them out. What you might not yet know is that we also work to help furnish the homes of our friends who are in the process of getting on their feet. There are so many large items that have been offered or found that we would’ve loved to hold onto for our next friend in need; however, we have never had the space to hold onto items in the interim. One of our goals this year is to be more efficient in our efforts, so that we are always ready for the opportunity to help others. Our wonderful church, Life Fellowship, shares our vision and blessed us with a 1,500 sq ft donation center property to make all of these dreams a reality. We plan to use our new space wisely by sorting, storing, and distributing donations there. There is also a long term vision for the donation

center: to be able to provide employment to our unsheltered friends who are working through our programs. This would be a two fold benefit because we could provide them with a steady income and also hone their skills before they reenter the traditional workforce.

It may not look like much more than a storage facility to some, but to BBLRC this building means growth. It means opportunity. Most of all, it is tangible proof of God’s provision. With this new property

for us to operate in, we can’t help but to be so humbled and so grateful for this opportunity, and it really fuels our fire as we work toward the next big vision: the Life Restoration Center. Big dreams, big goals, and a mighty big God
